How to E-mail me

Before I offer a link to my e-mail address, I'll ask you to turn off HTML when you send me mail. The reason for this request is clearly explained here and here and here and here and here. And I explain my own arguments for using Plain Text instead of HTML here.

If you don't know how to turn off HTML in outgoing mail, please look here for advice. Links to good explanations for all common mail systems are available here. There are detailed instructions for users of Outlook here, and Gmail here and here.

WARNING: mail containing HTML may be automatically deleted before I have a chance to see it!

Now that we have that settled, I'm ATYoung @ sdsu.edu. [Don't try to cut-and-paste that string into your mail software; it contains some invisible garbage to inhibit spam.]

And before you send me a picture of something you think might be a green flash, please read the artifacts page first. (Most of my recent mail of this sort has turned out to show artifacts, not green flashes.)
